greedy matplotlib rcparams

it has been reported that importing pydarm overwrites rcparams. feedback from various people using pydarm from the control room indicates that this is a non-negligible pain point. if feasible, we should implement a way to include sane matplotlib rcparams defaults, while not steamrolling existing user params.
