Install frame wiper with advligorts-cymac, make default appropriate for test stands
The advligorts-cymac package did not install a frame-wiper utility on to x2etr1, so I had to add by hand.
There is a 'timer', a 'service' and the daq-wiper itself. The service is pretty simple
Description=Remove old frame files to reclaim space for new frame files
Requires=frames.mount
[Service]
Type=oneshot
Nice=10
ExecStart=/usr/bin/daq_wiper -d /frames
The timer component needs the WantedBy= so one can 'enable' it
[Unit]
Description=Run rts-daq_wiper every 30 minutes
[Timer]
OnCalendar=*:0/30
AccuracySec=1min
[Install]
WantedBy=timers.target
The only /usr/bin/daq_wiper I found in use on Debian 10 was the one Dave Barker used for H1 which is highly customized for that application.
In running several test stands, I have found an older one built with percentages is more assured of not overflowing the disk. I have attached the version running on L1 as a start.wiper.pl
