Command line diag tool unable to clear all testpoints
I have sometimes seen "zombie" test points, which don't get cleared (at least, judging by the RT diagnostics MEDM screen) even after I close the DTT session that opened these testpoints. In old systems (diag -v
yields 2.15.1), I could forcibly clear these by running diag -l -z
to open the command line diag utility and then run tp clear * *
. However, on the new diag (diag -v
yields cds-0.3.0
), when I run tp clear * *
, I get the following error:
diag> tp clear * *
Clearing all test points on all nodes is not allowed.
I am sure there was a good reason for this change but I want to confirm that it was intentional. What is the procedure now to clear such "zombie" testpoints? I tried
diag> tp show *
to get the node numbers of the open testpoints, and then ran
diag> tp clear <node number>
but this did not clear the testpoint.
