export time series for FFT in DTT tab option
I would like to select a time series using ndscope's T cursors, then take an FFT of that time. Getting the start time is fine, but knowing the end time is non obvious, and if I want several averages I have to do some simple math to figure out how to stop my measurement where I want in DTT.
I would like to select two out of three of the following:
- start and end times
- bandwidth
- number of averages and have ndscope tell me what to put into DTT to get the FFT I want. (or better yet, launch a DTT template for me)
DTT Manual: https://dcc.ligo.org/public/0026/T990013/001/T990013-B.pdf I've been using this manual to calculate this stuff, would be not so bad to add it to the T cursor calcs.
What I really want this for is reconstructing a TF measurement I recently took, but did not record all the channels I should have in DTT. With the above complete, I could at least quickly look at the response of a channel at a single frequency during the measurement.
A second, much harder feature request would be to allow me multiple T-cursors and options to take a "clever" TF, where I define the start and stop times and the frequency for each point of the TF, and ndscope demodulates the line for me and plots it. This would allow the user to avoid glitches in their TFs, inject lines and watch them in real time, and probably completely revamp the way we do TFs in the control room (I'm imagining phasing RFPDs will be much easier).
