Search query for existing external trigger records in GraceDb will encounter spurious matches

It is technically possible for there to be a false match due to collisions in TrigID between distinct events, because this field means different things for different missions. For example, in Fermi notices, the TrigID is the mission elapsed time (MET) in seconds, whereas for LIGO/Virgo notices the TrigID is the GraceDB ID with the letter prefix removed. It is also possible for there to be spurious coincidences between unrelated events with similar MET times, from missions that launched on different dates.
