All GW triggers to be used in MOU-based searches should reside in GraceDB
On the Oct 13, 2021 LL telecon Brandon P led a discussion on the design and implementation of the exttrig alert pipeline ( https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1h7C3x9xo2bVy1hIwBlcXJngLL-shQHyxmf61Zhv-ehE/edit#slide=id.p ).
As part of this discussion we identified that no distribution of GW triggers out of low latency searches will occur via direct communication/access to file system. Instead, all GW triggers that are to be used for low latency extrig/MMA/sub-threshold searches via MOUs should be communicated by the searches to GraceDB. GWCelery will further distribute them as required and via the 3rd party streaming services.
@tito-canton @benoit.mours @patrick.godwin @fiona.panther @marek.szczepanczyk @ethan.marx @shaon.ghosh @patrick-brady @peter-shawhan @giancarlo.cella please identify nominal expectations you have for triggers out of your pipeline to participate in sub-threshold MOU-driven searches including nominal FAR threshold (or otherwise) criteria to be used for publishing.
Finally, please indicate if specific search/pipeline/labels are desired to be introduced within the context of GraceDB entries/annotation as part of the event processing and communicate with @alexander.pace
