Deployment unit tests

All of the unit tests passed for !929 (merged), but then I merged it and discovered that it breaks deployment because it uses a non-release version of one of its packages. I should have caught this as the reviewer of !929 (merged), but it'd be nice to automatically detect this problem using the CI pipeline.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
