Add Virgo logo as well -
"Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo are preparing for their third observing run (O3) in early 2019" --> link to Join Run plan comittee -
"LIGO/Virgo alerts will be public" --> in bold ? -
I like the warning
Quick start --> Section to be done at the end
Observation capabilities
-
Should we add the "recommendation" from David and Jo : no alert in principle distributed or if there is a very interesting alert from the astronomical side, a delay for its distribution is expected and shared parameters will have a larger-than-usual uncertainty. -
Prospects for observation and localization sensitivity:should be nice to have one figure of one paper ? or turns to a table those numbers ? -
KAGRA: do we need to mention that it will not participate to the online detection search ?
Procedures
-
Need to be converted into prose -
Need to have a diagram (Gantt)
Online pipelines and alert distribution
-
"Modeled (CBC) ..." --> very nice clear text -
Gstlal-spiir,to SPIIR -
Pycbc: PyCBC LIVE ... -
In this section, maybe add a short description of the selection of preferred event -
Add threshold of OPA for both CBC and Burst -
Do we need to add somewhere that a trigger from a single IFO (from GstLAL) is only distributed if it is in coincidence with a grb, neutrino, supernova ?
Alert content
-
Double check about what is written as FAR in the notice -
Em_bright and P_astro explanations are a bit long compared to the rest (example source localization) -
Need to add a reference to luminosity distance -
I expect that astronomers will would have to get an indicator of when we plan to give an update ... -
Add some word about RAVEN
Sample code
-
Are we going to send some test alert ? every 12 min as in O2 ? -
There is a missing part here of the tuto : read alert notices -
Reading sky maps: source code including command line "hpx = hp.read_map(url)" should appear explicitly -
The section from Aladin visualization can be extended, maybe Giuseppe can add material there -
sometimes, there is associated "source code" link sometimes not ... -
"Let’s find which pixel contains the point RA=194.95, Dec=27.98" --> suggest to take the same as the paragraph before "RA=129.38, DEC=88.53" --> ipix=123 -
"Distance and 3D Sky Maps" --> legend on figure from the left and right
