Drop verbose flag from astropy function calls

The doctest is currently throwing deprecation warnings:

WARNING: AstropyDeprecationWarning: "verbose" was deprecated in version 1.15.0 and will be removed in a future version.  [warnings]

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
