The discussion of the observing schedule graphic says "BNS range for highly confident detections", however this is not defined (neither what highly confident means, nor how range might depend on what we mean by highly confident). It always seems to me that giving a number for each detector separately cannot meaningfully connect with 'confidence', since detections are made by the network, not by individual detectors. If what we actually mean by the number is some relation of distance to the SNR of BNS signals in a detector, that would be much clearer to state explicitly rather than hiding under vague terminology that does not correspond with how we actually detect. Italics also seem unnecessary (why emphasize a term when we are not explaining it). -
"four facilities (LHO, LLO, Virgo, and KAGRA) will observe for 18 months with one or two one-month breaks for maintenance. KAGRA will begin the run with LIGO and Virgo and then return to extended commissioning" - it sounds like this should read 'three facilities (LHO, LLO, and Virgo)' since KAGRA will not observe for 18mo.
