FAR threshold for publication of SSM alerts
According to what is reported here:
the FAR threshold for an SSM event to be considered significant is one per 2 yr. But there is no mention of the FAR threshold for SSM events to be released publicly. If I read the beginning of the paragraph, I interpret that all events with FAR < 2/day are released publicly, including SSM events.
Instead, if I understand correctly, there will be no low-significance SSM alerts sent out. Namely, the FAR threshold for sending a public SSM alert corresponds to the FAR threshold for the SSM event to be marked as significant.
I think this should be clarified in the current version of the user guide.
