File format of ROQ bases
Currently, multiple files (params.dat, fnodes_{linear, quadratic}.npy, B_{linear, quadratic}.npy) are needed to perform ROQ runs properly. It will be better that all of these information are contained in a single file. I propose a new .hdf5 file format at the previous ROQ call. The slides are available here. This also enables
- using multiple ROQ bases in a single run, which helps reducing the size of each basis as each basis can be constructed in a narrow prior range.
- calculating ROQ weights from multibanded bases, whose algorithm is described in https://arxiv.org/abs/2104.07813.
I would like to hear any feedbacks on the file format. I am also happy to open a MR to make bilby compatible with the new file format.
