One particular injection causes an error when saving dynesty runplot
I would like to report a strange problem. I do an injection study with bilby + dynesty + IMRPhenomXPHM, and at some point during a checkpoint, I get an error when doing tight_layout()
after fig, axs = dyplot.runplot()
. Injection parameters are m1=40, m2=40, iota=30, z=20. I don't get this error for other parameters. The error happens in savefig()
if we skip tight_layout()
, somewhere in axis ticker. I restarted the run, but the error repeated. The last time before the error dynesty accumulated around 30000 samples, but I still can't get to the point of producing the result file. I also get these errors during sampling, but they don't seem to cause any problems in my other injections: XLAL Error - IMRPhenomXGetAndSetPrecessionVariables (LALSimIMRPhenomX_precession.c:276): Initialization of MSA system failed. Defaulting to NNLO angles using 3PN aligned-spin approximation
.
A few details:
- This is the run log with an error message at the end: mtotal80.0_q1.0_z20.0_iota30.0_IMRPhenomXPHM_error_log.txt
- This is the output of
self.sampler.results
object, which contains the results that are plotted: output-sampler-results.txt
I also attach checkpoint plots that presumably were saved before the error:
For a comparison, here is a run-plot of the run that worked well:
Anybody has an idea about the cause of this error?
