Does the "basic" tutorial break when working in fifteen dimensions?
@ethan.payne adopted the "basic" bilby tutorial in order to do some calculations on BBH kicks. He commented out three lines that implement delta function priors in order to employ standard priors for all fifteen standard parameters. The resulting posteriors are completely off. The credible intervals exclude the injected values.
@colm.talbot suggests that we try rerunning with cpnest instead of dynesty, which is the default for this tutorial. That is in progress. However, we are pulling a git issue to suggest
- Confirm that the "basic" tutorial breaks when we try to run in 15 dimensions.
- If so, modify the tutorial so that it works in 15 dimensions. Or, at the very least, add comments to the code indicating that the tutorial does not work in 15 dimensions, and directing the user how they should modify the code in order to run in 15 dimensions. Being able to do full 15D PE out of the box is a must, IMO.
