Use absolute URLs to link to gitlab issues+MRs in merge-commits?
Hi, @adam-mercer @thomas.downes,
I was wondering if it's possible to modify the commit-message template that gitlab uses for its merge-commit message. Currently its using this message to point back to the MR in gitlab, which is very useful, except that it only uses project-local link, eg 'CW/lalsuite!20', instead of an absolute URL.
Outside of gitlab (and also further in the future, eg imaging other hosting images or forks of lalsuite elsewhere) absolute URLs would be much more useful (eg in qgit, gitk, or git-log, ...) and unambiguous/robust.
I'm guessing this might be another case of 'only in EE', but just wondering.
