Action items for siqm pop study

10th June 2021

  • Data/Runs related:
    • Go through the kappa_s posteriors, pick the bad ones and investigate reasons (Krishnendu: Uniform-Pos runs 0-7 should be investigated)
    • Once we have the reasons, discuss offline and rerun systematically (Krishnendu + Saleem)
    • Parallelly, remove the bad looking ones and make new plots and update to draft (Krishnnedu)
  • Draft related
    • Work on the results section of the draft (Saleem)
    • We may need to alter the mixture population models slightly by adding two cases and removing two. Ones to be added are, f_bh = 0.0 (NBBHs), with all positive ( case 1) and f_bh = 0.0 (NBBHs), with all negative (case 2). For mixture (half from BBHs), f_bh = 0.5 and take non-BBHs from uniform+GaussPos+GaussNeg positive and negative (case 3) and take only positive non-BBHs (case 4). The current pop1 and pop2 will stay (Krishnendu/ Saleem)
  • Make fbh vs logB (BBH vs mixture). This will tell what fraction of non-BBH is required to detect the non-BBH presence. Add the numbers in the abstract.

  • Run post-processing on Uniform population
  • Pick the well-behaved runs from all population
    • List of problematic runs in each population

  • Make the population sets
  • Get all plots remade
  • Move simple method to Appendix
  • Complete the table in the draft
  • Complete results explanations
