I also asked the following question on the PE chat, but I think that as

waveform experts you would have a better idea.
|
|
|
|
|

For review of the spin-induced quadrupole moment test to go into the
|
|
|
|
O3a-TGR paper, we are looking at comparison of LALInference results (GR
|
|
|
|
runs using BBH waveforms, performed using a TGR branch based off the
|
|
|
|
current LALInference) with older runs performed in 2018 for GWTC-1 (e.g.
|
|
|
|

We are finding that some of the spin angles are consistently different.
|
|
|
|
In particular, the behaviour of \phi_JL seems to be consistently
|
|
|
|
"out-of-phase" indicating that this is a change in the spin convention.
|
|
|
|
Is our understanding correct?
|
|
|
