Add docstrings to GwdcDb

Just changes to the comments + new docstrings.

This merge request depends on my other pyodbc-related (in the sense that it is a branch off from that branch), so I will be interested to see exactly how GitLab handles it... my hope is that recognises the dependency and fast-forwards it but let’s see....
