writeMatrix should use writeChannels
writeMatrix should use writeChannels so that arbitrary rows and columns can be written (not only consecutive ones) and so that the identity of each channel value can be kept separately in backUpVals instead of just the matrix basename. In the current case, if a different part of matrix is changed, it still overwrites in backUpVals over the last values. This is a bug.
