conda-forge linux-64 docker image
Currently it appears that conda-forge linux-64 builds are created using a CentOS 7 docker image, e.g.,
(igwn) [stuart.anderson@ldas-grid ~]$ echo $CONDA_DEFAULT_ENV igwn (igwn) [stuart.anderson@ldas-grid ~]$ echo $CONDA_PREFIX /cvmfs/oasis.opensciencegrid.org/ligo/sw/conda/envs/igwn (igwn) [stuart.anderson@ldas-grid ~]$ which condor_version /cvmfs/oasis.opensciencegrid.org/ligo/sw/conda/envs/igwn/bin/condor_version (igwn) [stuart.anderson@ldas-grid ~]$ condor_version $CondorVersion: 9.0.17 Oct 04 2022 $ $CondorPlatform: X86_64-CentOS_7.9 $
Is it known if/when it will be possible for the igwn
environment to use newer builds? For example, the HTCondor team is working on adding cgroup v2 support, which is an option in RHEL8 and the default in RHEL9, but is not available in RHEL7.
