Fix time sliding
At present we have the ability to sample all of the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of a gravitational wave singal in a single detector, except gpstime
, or the time of the merger at the geocentre, which is trickier.
In order to solve this it is necessary to align the waveform and the data; the easiest approach to this is likely to be carefully choosing the correct slice of the data.
I've attempted the opposite, of placing the waveform correctly in a longer segment, and this is problematic for two reasons; first it causes problems with inverting the covariance matrix, and second it results in a much larger matrix to invert.
