signalAmplitudePrior SegFaults
Using non-default values for the peak location of the signal amplitude prior induces segfaults when standard numbers of iterations are used. The segfaults vanish if Niter is reduced from its default value by a factor ~100.
Issue is present only in master; stable (O2) code does not experience this problem.
To reproduce the error, use BayesWave version @f78ab97b and a command like:
/home/tzs/opt/lscsoft/bayeswave-stable/bin/BayesWave --L1-flow 16.0 --psdlength 4.0 \
--bayesLine --srate 1024.0 --seglen 4.0 --L1-channel L1:LDAS-STRAIN \
--checkpoint --trigtime 970301868.039000034 --window 1.0 --psdstart \
970301866.039000034 --H1-cache datafind/H1.cache --L1-timeslide -389.0 \
--H1-flow 16.0 --signalPriorPeak 4 --Niter 2000000 --ampPriorPeak 2 \
--signalAmplitudePrior --L1-cache datafind/L1.cache --segment-start \
970301866.039000034 --dataseed 1234 --outputDir trigtime_970301868.039000034_-389.0_0.0 \
--H1-channel H1:LDAS-STRAIN --ifo H1 --ifo L1
This command exits successfully with:
- removing all mention of the
signalPrior
- reducing the number of iterations
Niter
to ~2000 - Using the stable branch with version @49beff15 does not show this error.
