request_disk units in bayeswave_pipe
Fix bayeswave_pipe parse to allow specification of units. Alternatively make default units in bayeswave_pipe MiB and convert to KiB.
Explanation: default units in request_disk
are KiB (contrast with request_memory
units in MiB...). As we get stricter (much stricter) about what jobs use, more jobs will go on hold for exceeding this request.
bayeswave_pipe only supports a user to specify an integer number of KiB right now. Either fix this so the user can specify units (preferred) or default to MiB in the ini file and convert back to KiB in the submit file.
Note: you can do e.g.:
request_disk = 100 MB
in a submit file but there isn't a good way to do this in bayeswave_pipe afaik (adding quotes will break things).
See ldg-announce mail for Feb 21:
Strongly recommend specifying units for request_disk and request_memory in Condor submit files rather than relying on potentially confusing defaults, https://htcondor.readthedocs.io/en/latest/man-pages/condor_submit.html request_disk: "The requested amount of disk space in KiB requested for this job" request_memory: "The required amount of memory in MiB"
