BUG: Fix custom prior loading from result file

Closes #743 (closed) and makes the custom prior class loading from result file more generic

Thanks @sylvia.biscoveanu thanks for this. While we're in here, I think it's worth promoting the debug statement to a warning (or at least info), it would have made the error message much clearer in this case.

enabled an automatic merge when the pipeline for 779bb24b succeeds

Thanks @sylvia.biscoveanu, it seems the pipelines have failed due to an issue with the runners. I don't seem to have the option to restart them, would you be able to?
