Fixing the workflow veto bug, reducing the size of the repo

Some unrelated improvements in this MR:

  • fixing veto definer parsing (broken in the workflow)
  • reducing the size of pickled objects
  • adding more details to documentation
  • adding custom seaborn palette option to statistical checks - defaults to the same palette used previously
  • blacking (so many minor changes)
