Build and test on Rocky Linux 9

Rocky Linux 8 only has flask 0.12 from the OS, so we can't really natively deploy the app on RL8. We should build and test on Rocky Linux 9, for which the OS provides flask 2.0.

This is also blocked by https://github.com/scitokens/scitokens/issues/160 regarding python3-scitokens for RL9.

Any updates on this? At LLO, we have a RL9 VM ready to begin testing.

python3-scitokens appears to have an RL9 build .

I can try this out on datafind2 at LLO and report back of any dependencies I can't resolve.

@michael.thomas was able to work through the dependencies on RL9 and was able to get gwdatafind-server installed. Server name is datafind2.ldas.ligo-la.caltech.edu. Currently working through Apache/SSL configs.

gwdatafind-server appears to be working (limited testing) on datafind2.ldas.ligo-la.caltech.edu. x509 authentication and scitoken/grid-mapfile auth all appear to be working. Current version

Some issues noted during setup:

• User gwdatafind was missing from package install, this user was created manually
• Missing home directory of gwdatafind fails scitoken authentication but grid-mapfile auth works fine

LLO is hoping to run datafind2 as the public datafind server. Potentially deploying 7/25/23 for our Tuesday maintenance.

Will also need to have RL9 builds for ligo-grid-mapfile-manager and python3-lgmm. I am asking Mike to attempt to rebuild now.
